At Karelia University of Applied Sciences, paying within 20 days of your offer takes 20% off the first year. If your residence permit is refused, your tuition comes back, less a 10% processing fee.

Are there scholarships for Nigerians in Finland?

Yes, but they vary. At Karelia UAS the first-year saving is the 20% early-payment discount. Scholarships of 50% in later years depend on passing your credits and reaching set levels in Finnish. We’ll show you what’s realistic for your profile.

How long can I stay after graduating?

Finland offers a post-study residence permit to look for work, valid for up to two years. You can apply within five years of graduating.

Is the residence permit renewed every year?

Migri usually issues the student residence permit for the full length of your degree, provided your passport and insurance cover that period.

What happens to my tuition if my permit is refused?

At Karelia UAS, tuition is refunded if your residence permit is refused, less a 10% processing fee.
