Chevening is the UK government’s flagship scholarship: a fully funded one-year Master’s covering tuition (capped for MBAs), flights, visa costs and living allowances. Applications usually open around August and close in early October, with interviews in early the following year; you must hold an offer from a UK university by mid-year. Commonwealth Scholarships (UK)

The Commonwealth Scholarship funds Master’s and PhD study in the UK for candidates from eligible Commonwealth countries, including Nigeria, with a focus on development impact. Applications run through nominating bodies and have their own annual cycle (commonly in the autumn). These suit applicants whose study links clearly to development outcomes back home.

DAAD (Germany)

DAAD offers scholarships for Master’s and PhD study in Germany.
